BIKE RIDE AND SOCIAL HOUR
April 23, 2026 5pm-7pm
We will meet in the parking lot just past the Gideon Putnam Resort at 4:45pm (picture below).
We will take a 1.80 mile bike ride around the Saratoga Spa State Park. We will take the Avenue of the Pines trail.
Once the bike ride is completed we will drive over to the Tree House Brewery for a social hour for anyone that wants to join.
Don't want to bike? That's ok. Come to the Tree House Brewery at 6pm for the social hour.

There highly skilled and entertaining guides will make this class 3-4 whitewater trip with 17 miles of stunning scenery and exciting whitewater a trip to remember! Perfect for families, scouts, bachelor/bachelorette parties, birthday celebrations and team building.

Scheduled trip includes:
Licensed guide, helmet, paddle, Riverside lunch, transportation from the base to the river and back to your car, and an awesome time!!
Wetsuits and booties are also included
What to bring:
Dress to get wet along with footwear that will not fall off. NO slip-ons or flip flops. towel and change of dry clothes. Cash for tips for the guide and pictures if you would like.
Guide, PFD, helmet, paddle, wetsuit (if needed), river booties (until May 18), transportation form our base to the river and back to your car, and an awesome time!
Please arrive at 9:00 am at 1123 State Route 28 Warrensburg NY 12885. Arriving late may cause you to miss the trip and YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A REFUND OR CREDIT.
Ausable Chasm

We will have the Explorer package. This includes a guided river walk hike with two swinging bridges bringing you to the depths of the Chasm near the River the Inner Sanctum to the Rafting Area where you can choose to take the raft or tube. Once done on the river you can take the trolley back to the welcome center or you can choose to hike back on the 2 mile trail available.
We will start the hike around 11am.
Please wear closed toe shoes.

Rails to Sails

Join us for a combination adventure! 2 hours on the Hadley Rail biking and then a 1 hour Cruise with Lake George Steamboat Company on the Mohican.
-The rail bike will be across the 500 foot Sacandaga railroad bridge with sweeping mountain views
-We will then drive 20 minutes to Lake George where we will relax on a 1 hour cruise aboard the historic Mohican.

Every railbike has a basket in the back (approx. 18” x 24”) to hold your gear. We recommend you bring a camera, beverages/snacks (no glass bottles, please), sunscreen, insect repellent, and appropriate outerwear for the season and forecast (hats, windbreakers, rain gear, closed-toe shoes, etc.).
Sadly, and for safety reasons, we do not allow pets on the Rails to Sails excursion, nor can we allow loose lap babies on the railbikes.
Once aboard the Mohican, there are a Snack Bar and Cocktail Bar with food and beverages for purchase. No outside food or beverages are allowed on the Mohican.
Come join us for our 6th annual picnic at Grafton Lakes State Park and spend a great day with your fellow club members on Saturday, July 18th.
Bring your bathing suit, walking shoes, bicycle, fishing pole, or kayak to enjoy the many ponds and public areas the park has to offer. Have a favorite backyard game or board game to play bring it with you! We encourage early arrival due to parking availability.
We will be gathering at the Boathouse Tent area beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Boathouse Tent area is located on Second Pond, and is reserved for the Albany Ski Club.
Around 12:00 noon we will be cooking hot dogs, hamburgers and sausage. We have a covered area, so rain or shine, some of us will be there!
Bring a dish to share and games to play. When you register, you can let us know what you are bringing. There will be picnic tables, but feel free to bring a folding chair.
Bring your own beverages. Adult beverages can be consumed at our picnic area in moderation, but should not be taken to the public beach or public areas.
There is a fee of $8 per vehicle to enter the park. Carpooling is a good idea, in addition to arriving early!
Guests of current ACTIVE members are welcome. **Guest will be charged a $5 fee**
IF YOU ARE LAPSED OR PAST DUE YOU WILL BE CHARGED $5 DUE TO NOT BEING AN ACTIVE MEMBER
The park can reach full capacity on very warm days and holiday weekends. If the park reaches full capacity and has to close the front gates, they have parking areas reserved for pavilion guests. Guests may have a short walk to the Boathouse Tent area but they will be able to enter and park. Please let the park staff know that you are here for a pavilion with the Albany Ski Club and they will be directed where to go. Thank you and have a wonderful day.
Grafton Lakes State Park, includes six ponds and nearly 2500 acres. Long Pond has a large, sandy beach. Anglers can go after rainbow and brown trout in Long, Second and Shaver Pond. Pickerel, perch, and bass are abundant in all ponds including Mill Pond and walleye are found at the Martin-Durham Reservoir. All ponds have launch facilities for canoes, sailboats and rowboats, electric boat are allowed. Visitors can walk the nature trails, and hike, bike or ride horses along the 25 miles of park trails (No ATV use allowed).
