Come to our second annual picnic at Grafton Lakes State Park and spend a great day with your fellow club members on Sunday, July 17.
Bring your walking shoes, bicycle, fishing pole, or kayak to enjoy the many ponds and public areas the park has to offer, or bring your favorite backyard game or board game to play! Park opens at 8:00 a.m. We encourage early arrival due to parking availability.
We will be gathering at the Boathouse Tent area beginning at 8:00 a.m. The Boathouse Tent area is located on Second Pond, and is reserved for the Albany Ski Club.
Around 12:00 noon we will be cooking hot dogs and hamburgers for those that attend. We have a covered area, so rain or shine, some of us will be there!
Bring a dish to share. When you register, you can let us know what you are bringing. There will be picnic tables, but feel free to bring a folding chair.
Bring your own beverages. Adult beverages can be consumed at our picnic area in moderation, but should not be taken to the public beach or public areas.
There is a fee of $8 per vehicle to enter the park. Carpooling is a good idea, in addition to arriving early!
If registering now, we have the following items coming already, so you can plan around these when bringing something to share:
Chips and Dips
Pasta Salad
Coleslaw
Mac and Cheese
Chili
Plastic Cups
Plastic Cutlery & Paper Plates
Baked Beans
Dessert
Tossed Salad
Cheese and Crackers
Guests of current members are welcome.
The park can reach full capacity on very warm days and holiday weekends. If the park reaches full capacity and has to close the front gates, they have parking areas reserved for pavilion guests. Guests may have a short walk to the Boathouse Tent area but they will be able to enter and park. Please let the park staff know that you are here for a pavilion with the Albany Ski Club and they will be directed where to go. Thank you and have a wonderful day.
