Let's all be good visitors to the state of Maine and follow the guidelines below and be sure to wear face coverings and keep six foot of distance from those not in your group. We expect all travellers will test approriately. Let's keep skiing safe!
Check in is on Sunday 1/17 at the Jordan Hotel: 6:00 p.m.
Here are some resort guidelines for checking in and visiting Sunday River Maine.
Check out on Friday 1/22 10:00 a.m. (You are free to ski and use the resort facilities for changing once checked out, but resort needs to get ready for new guests arriving!)
Complimentary Group Ski Lesson
For the complimentary ski lesson reservations are required up until 4:00PM the day before the lesson (until sold out). Reserve by calling 207-824-5959 or email email@example.com. Please reach out to the trip leader for the reservation code for the free lesson.
Make all efforts to use the ski check and not your room for your skis! The ski check can be accessed 24hrs a day with the assistance of the front desk clerks.
Transportation Around ResortFor those that have not stayed at the Jordan before, there is shuttle service around the resort. You can take the shuttle to the beginner area (Southridge) or the Grand Summit Hotel area.
To ski to the other side, you can jump on Lollapalooza down to Lift 14. At the top, you would take Kansas and start heading over. If you plan your trails right, you can make it from Jordan Bowl to White Cap in one run.
Here is a link to the trail map.
Monday Night Dining
Sliders Restaurant at the Jordan is closed on Monday (Grand Avenue is open for breakfast though). Think about taking the shuttle that evening or driving over to the Grand Summit to eat at Camp for their "Eat Like a Local" $5 Burgers and Brews Monday night special. If that doesn't tickle your fancy, you can take a trip into town.
Wednesday Night Dining
We will be having a Chef-plated Buffet Dinner on Wednesday. A New England BBQ is happening! Chicken, pulled pork, Mac and Cheese, Tossed Salad, and a few other goodies! Tables appropriately spaced for small groups of two or four eating together.
To find out more information on restaurants in the area, and where to take covid tests, please visit the the following link for the Chamber of Commerce. This is a great resource. Tests are free through the Maine Swab and Send program. Western Maine Health Care in Norway (about 30 minutes away) participates in Swab and Send. Testing is done on Tuesday and Friday mornings. Reservations required.
The Mountain Explorer is the shuttle that goes into town and is a great way to get around without driving, but has limited hours. So please check the schedule if you plan to use it.
