The ASC wants to allow members to communicate with one another. In the past ASC communication has been mostly one way... i.e. Newsletters, Informational Emails, Website, etc.
The ASC Email Group allows members to send messages to the entire ASC. For instance you could 
send messages like the following.
send messages like the following. - I am heading up to Stratton for the council discount day... any one need a ride? - I left my jacket at the West Ski Race... did anyone pick it up? - I am trying to get a hold of Joe Blow... does anyone have his email or phone #? - I have a pair of skis for sale... anyone interested? - Hey... West is having ski racing for $16 on Tuesday nights... come check it out! - EtcOnce you are part of the ASC Email Group you will be able to post messages quickly and easily. All you do is address your email to (albanyskiclub@yahoogroups.com). Your message will be sent to the entire ASC Email Group.
By the way, you don't need to worry about spam. Only members are allowed to post on the Email Group. No one will be able to download or mine your email address from the web.
If you don't want to be on the ASC Email Group... it is very easy to unsubscribe. Each email that is sent has a link to unsubscribe at the bottom of it.
